A new read from the brilliant David Walliams
Darkness had come to the town. Strange things were happening in the dead of
night. Children would put a tooth under their pillow for the tooth fairy, but in
the morning they would wake up to find… a dead slug; a live spider; hundreds of
earwigs creeping and crawling beneath their pillow.
Evil was at work. But who or what was behind it…?

Daniel Morden
On Monday 21 January, Daniel Morden wil be visiting our library to tell some stories to Year 7. Daniel has travelled the world as a professional storyteller. He says:
"When I was young, children could walk to school by themselves. Every day as I walked I would make up a story, about myself, or Spiderman, or the Viking God Thor, or some strange character I had invented. When I reached school, if I hadn't finished the story I would walk around the playground, muttering it under my breath. I had to know how the story ended, even though I was making it up."
In 2007 he won the Tir na n-Og Award for 'Dark Tales from the Woods'. His latest publication is 'Tree of Leaf and Flame', published by Pont Books in 2012.
We are really looking forward to hearing some great stories on Monday!
